Akira Iinuma

Mr. Iinuma joined Polaris in November 2004 after serving as vice president of the Investment Banking Group of Mizuho Securities in the areas of food & beverages, retail, and media sectors. At Mizuho Securities, he was also engaged in M&A transactions in various sectors, such as industrial products, energy, and financial services as vice president of the M&A Group. Before that, he worked at The Industrial Bank of Japan (IBJ), first in the international finance division, then in the debt capital markets division (IBJ Securities). Mr. Iinuma received a BA in International Relations from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies and an MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University.

Junpei Yamada

Partner

Mr. Yamada joined Polaris in April 2007. Prior to Polaris, he worked at RECOF Corporation and was engaged in M&A advisory services (M&A Strategic Planning/Origination & Execution of M&A transactions) with a focus on Electronics/Technology sector. He was also engaged in originating and executing M&A transactions by buyout funds & real estate funds. Mr. Yamada received a BA in Commerce from Waseda University.

Hideto Nishihata

Principal

Mr. Nishihata joined Polaris in April 2012. He started his career at Oracle Corporation Japan and was engaged in project management for ERP package installation and consulting for operational implement. Then he joined in the business revitalization department of PwC Advisory (current PricewaterhouseCoopers Japan) and was engaged in business plan formulation for medium-sized enterprises and monitoring support. In 2010 he moved to The Enterprise Turnaround Initiative Corporation of Japan and was in charge of turnaround investments for medium-sized enterprises and post-investment hands-on turnaround support. Mr. Nishihata received a Bachelor of Engineering from Kobe University.

Naohiko Ohno

Principal

Mr. Ohno joined Polaris in February 2011. Prior to Polaris, he worked at RECOF Corporation and was engaged in M&A advisory services (sourcing and execution of M&A transactions) with a focus on mid cap companies in electronics, education, human resources and apparel. He also provided advisory services to private equity funds on the exits of their portfolio companies. Mr. Ohno received a BA in Commerce from Hitotsubashi University.

Hidenori Kanbe

Principal

Mr. Kanbe joined Polaris in July 2014. Prior to Polaris, he worked at NIF Ventures Co., Ltd. (currently Daiwa Corporate Investment Co., Ltd.) and was engaged in investment, monitoring, hands-on and exit in the buyout investment division for 11 years. Mr. Kanbe received a Bachelor of Engineering from Waseda University and Master of Science from Waseda University Graduate School.

Tomohide Nitta

Principal

Mr. Nitta joined Polaris in January 2015. Prior to Polaris, he worked at Mitsubishi UFJ Securities Co., Ltd. (currently Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd.) and was engaged in M&A asdvisory business for 11 years with providing financial advisory on merger, group reorganization, MBO and cross-border deals with corporations mainly in retail, food, health care, electrical machinery and precision sectors. Mr. Nitta received a Bachelor of Laws from Rikkyo University.

Takuji Ishida

Principal

Mr. Ishida joined Polaris in August 2017. Prior to Polaris, he worked at the energy business group of Mitsubishi Corporation and was engaged in investments and project finance in liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects in the U.S. and Indonesia, and imports/trading business of crude oil. Subsequently, at the Boston Consulting Group, he was in charge of developing strategies, formulating med- to long-term business plans, launching new businesses, designing and improving operations, and cutting costs for corporations in transportation, industrial materials, and energy sectors. Mr. Ishida received a Bachelor of Laws from Kyoto University and an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
