Yuji Kimura

Mr. Kimura is the founding member of Polaris. He was appointed executive vice president in September 2004 and was promoted to president in June 2006. Prior to Polaris, he was general manager of the Private Equity Department of Mizuho Securities, where he managed and successfully generated high performance on a number of private equity investments. Before Mizuho Securities, Mr. Kimura worked 16 years in corporate banking and investment banking at The Industrial Bank of Japan, Ltd. (IBJ). Mr. Kimura received a BA in International Relations from the University of Tokyo, and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Shuichi Takahashi

Mr. Takahashi joined Polaris as president in September 2004 upon founding the company , was appointed chairman in June 2006, and counselor and member of the board in July 2007. Prior to Polaris, he was president & CEO of Kansai Urban Bank, a regional bank in Japan, which he successfully turned around. Before that, he was managing director of NIDEC Corp. where he managed a number of M&A transactions as well as post-merger integrations. Prior to NIDEC, he was director of the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi. Mr. Takahashi holds a BA in Law from Kyoto University and an M. Phil from University of Edinburgh.
Sotaro Inose

Mr. Inose joined Polaris as managing director in March 2009. He is a member of Investment Committee. Prior to Polaris, he was head of Special Investment Department and Real Estate Investment Department of Daiwa Securities SMBC Principal Investments Co. Ltd. Prior to that, he was managing director responsible for asset management at Moore Strategic Value Partners Japan, LLC which was an investment management firm focusing on distressed asset. Prior to that, he has 24 years of corporate banking experiences in The Nippon Credit Bank, Ltd. (NCB). Mr. Inose received a B.A. in Economics from Keio University.
Norio Kinouchi

Mr. Kinouchi joined Development Bank of Japan in 1972. He built his career in corporate finance and later became Finance Department Head and Takamatsu Branch Manager of the Bank before he moved to Johnson Diversey in 2001. He was promoted to CEO of Johnson Diversey Group in 2006 and made the group more efficient and competitive with his ability to plan and execute effective business strategies. After retiring from the CEO position in August 2006, he joined Midori Godo Keiei as partner. Mr. Kinouchi joined Polaris as senior advisor in January 2007 and was appointed director in December 2012.
