Mr. Suyama joined Polaris in April 2024.　Prior to this, he served as Operating Officer, Joint Head of Global Compliance as well as Head of Legal at Mizuho Securities. While at Mizuho Corporate Bank (merged into Mizuho Bank at present), he served as DGM of Europe Credit Division in London and responsible for Leveraged Buyouts, or Project/Corporate Finances for EMEA Non-Japanese clients. In addition to these, engaged in Capital markets business, Credit, Research, or Strategic Planning at the Industrial Bank of Japan, Mizuho Corporate Bank, Mizuho Holdings (changed to Mizuho Financial Group at present), or Mizuho Securities.
Mr. Suyama received LL.B. from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law, and LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
